Una domanda che potrebbe essere veloce: ho una vecchia HP Z420 che non mi ha mai dato grossi problemi.
La uso per dei calcoli numerici e da qualche tempo le cose sono cambiate.
Se lancio diverse elaborazioni o qualcosa in parallelo che usa per esempio 4 cores (su 12 a disposizione), i vari core si scaldano subito (arrivo in zona 90 gradi e uccido le simulazioni) e la ventola viaggia a manetta.
Di recente ho cambiato la scheda grafica, ma qui non si parla di calcoli che vanno sulla cpu.
Non mi ricordo una situazione del genere in passato anche con carichi più elevati.
Ho installato debian stable. Ormai la workstation ha circa 8 anni e non ho mai cambiato la pasta termica.
Può essere quello il problema? C'e' un modo per scoprirlo?
Sono imbranato con le cose manuali (ho due mani sinistre e non sono mancino) quindi per cambiare la pasta termica andrei da un tecnico...solo non voglio andarci per niente.
