hai sollevato un problema, quello delle risorse, che travalica la stessa produzione di software (vale per qualsiasi produzione, anche per l'arte o le idee). Infatti la domanda che allora pone il tuo ragionamento è la seguente: perché ci sono imprese private che hanno enormi risorse e comunità libere che non ne hanno?
Un filosofo del '600 che mi sta molto a cuore (Spinoza), al centro del suo interesse, si chiedeva pressapoco: come è possibile che così tante persone (la maggioranza) DESIDERINO la propria schiavitù al punto da lottare per rimanere schiavi -con violenza, a rischio della propria esistenza- come se stiano lottando per la propria libertà? Come è possibile questo "desiderio"?
Il fatto che imprese "privatizzino" l'innovazione "comune" grazie al proprio potere economico-sociale-politico (in forme che richiamano le vecchie "enclusores" delle terre comuni che hanno dato luogo alla proprietà capitalistica, con la prepotenza allora e anche adesso) ci dice NON che il software libero è meno innovativo ma solo che è SOTTOMESSO a quello non-libero. Si tratta di liberarlo inventando i mezzi necessari (produrre licenze libere, non solo per i software, è già un'innovazione).
